*After freedom, a registered organisation of employed people of the weaver community has been established in Bihar!*

The name of this organisation is Tantakabiram Bunkar Upthan Employees Association!

*Why the name Tantakabiram?*

In this name, our profession, ancestor and pioneer have been included!

•Tant:- Traditional profession of the weaver community

Kabir:- Ancestor of the Bunkar community*

•Ram:- Late Baba Mukund Ram Tanti-Praneta

In the naming of the institution, we added the word Ram with Kabir in the name of Baba Mukund Ram Tanti and made Kabiram!

Tantakabiram=Tant+Kabir+Ram

In this way, the profession, ancestor and originator have been included in the name of the institution itself!

Late Baba Mukund Ram Tanti became the first legislator of the weaver community after independence and he started the struggle for the identity and rights of his community and fought for the right by searching all the necessary historical documents and records and even succeeded in getting the bill for reservation in the parliament in 1967, unfortunate that it was passed in the Lok Sabha but due to the dissolution of the Lok Sabha, it lapsed!

That is why they are the pioneers of our constitutional rights struggle!

Tankabiram is a registered society under the Society Registration Act 1860!

Its registration has been done on 11.05.2026!

This committee takes all policy decisions according to the provisions of the byelaws!

Basic Objectives:-

• 1) Fighting a legal battle for the constitutional and legal rights of the Bunkar community
• 2) Social, economic, educational and mental upliftment of the people of the Bunkar community
• 3) To make the people of the Bunkar community aware in matters of education, health, legal, economic and environment so that!
• 4) Mutual cooperation of the members of the institution!
• 5) Establishing a library for educational development, organising a quiz contest, giving scholarships, distributing books, etc.
• 6) Organising awareness camp in village Tola under awareness program
• 7) organising education and health camps for awareness of education and health!
• 8) Skill development of children of the weaver community for employment!
• 9) Other work!

This organisation is absolutely non-political, disciplined, transparent, democratic and works within the ambit of law and constitution!

It works for social upliftment by following the laws and rules of the central and state governments so that people from the educationally, socially and economically backward weaver community can also join the mainstream and become better citizens!

This organisation has goodwill towards all communities, castes and religions and strives to cooperate and coordinate with all for overall social and national development.

Membership:-

Only regular/contracted (central/state government) people of the weaver community can become members!

It is mandatory to deposit a membership fee of ₹500 and ₹1000 as a development fund for the membership of Tantakbiram!

Historical development of Tantakabiram:

On 12 December 2021, it was formed in Patna as an informal organisation called National Weavers Upliftment Employees Association (RBUEA)!

Its first meeting was held in Patna Digha by a member of the weaver community, in which about 35 people participated and on 11 May 2026, this institution was registered as the Tantakbiram Weaver Upliftment Employees Association!

Now this institution has been legally established as a formal institution and it is operated according to the provisions of the Society Registration Act!
